Anthony Gannon, and gave him the job of preparing my Bugatti Type 57 for the Cartier
'Style et Luxe' at this summer's Goodwood Festival of Speed [2009]. He succeeded in
bringing the car up to a presentation standard I had not thought possible. Old injuries,
engrained dirt and 'swirls' were corrected in the paintwork and a flat and glowing shine
obtained. Brightwork was brightened and walnut veneer brought back to life. Carpets,
leather and glass cleaned and restored to as-new. Engine bay cleaned and polished
in places I couldn’t even reach. And all this on a seventy-five year old car that had just
returned from a gruelling 3000 mile European tour. Ettore Bugatti himself would have
